Difference Between a Sling and an Immobilizer

Technically speaking, a shoulder sling just has the single strap that goes over the neck.

A shoulder Immobilizer also has a second strap that goes around the waist and ensures the arm stays tucked in tight to the body.

This is an Immobilizer with an abduction pillow to keep the arm out from the body.
